Grace Kihembo

Grace Kihembo is a proud graduate of Makerere University with a Bachelor of Arts in Drama & Film, she brings both academic rigor, real-world passion and professionalism to every project she puts her hands on. She is a trained arts manager, Script writer, Director, Researcher and community theatre practitioner.

Kihembo started out as a director and writer of Church plays during Concerts. She later directed a Christmas church feature film where her talents were spotted and she was then chosen to co write and direct another short film called Walls.

At Tebere Arts Foundation, Kihembo is a part of the Emerging Artists Intensive Lab which nurtures young people in the arts to find their artistic voices. Through workshops and masterclasses that she has attended, she sees her self as a director, script writer, and on some occasions, a painter. She wants to create new artistic breaths of productions in Uganda. Her primary goal is to make sure that the theatrical scene in Uganda is growing.

She has participated in events such as the Kampala International Theatre Festival for the last 3years and Tebere has watched her grow in art.
