Othieno Edmond
Othieno Edmond is a freelance theatre practitioner trained in performing arts and film at Makerere University. He is a dedicated applied theatre facilitator, oral traditional storyteller and instrumentalist, touring communities with issue based solo performances.
Othieno had his theatre debut as an actor in 2015, taking up key roles as an actor in plays such as “King Lear”, “Betrayal In The City”, “The Government Inspector” and “Imaginary Invalid”, all with Dynamo Theatre Company (2015-2017).
He was later hand-picked by Silent Voices Uganda’s Judith Adong as an Assistant stage manager for “Holy Maria” and “Blood” (2017) and later as a stage manager for ‘Just Me, You and The Silence' (2018) productions. Othieno is currently working with Arts Applied Uganda, as an applied theatre facilitator, exhibiting exceptional ability in planning, designing and delivering arts based community projects in various parts of the country since 2018.
With his talent, knowledge and ever burning passion for storytelling, Othieno dreams to team up with like-minded young ‘creators’ to storm the world with an epic theatre masterpiece.
